FAQs

What is Alignment & Accountability Coaching?

1

Alignment & Accountability Coaching helps you get clear on what you want, understand what is getting in the way, and start taking consistent action towards it.

At Next Identity, we look at things like your beliefs, behaviours, patterns, confidence, values and the way you currently approach the things you say you want.

Then we work on aligning your actions with where you want to go and who you need to become.

And then comes the accountability part — because knowing what to do and actually doing it are two very different things.

How can accountability coaching help with procrastination?

2

Accountability coaching helps you move beyond simply knowing what you should be doing.

Instead of just giving you another productivity strategy, we look at what may actually be sitting underneath the procrastination.

That might be self-doubt, fear, overthinking, old patterns, lack of clarity, fear of judgement or simply being used to putting everyone else first.

Then we turn that understanding into action.

You leave with clear next steps, and I provide the support and accountability to help you actually follow through.

Can a coach help me stop procrastinating and follow through?

3

Yes.

A big part of my work is helping women who keep saying, “I know what I need to do, I’m just not doing it.”

We look at what keeps stopping you, what pattern is repeating and what needs to change.

Then we create a clear path forward and build consistency through action and accountability.

The goal is not just to get you started.

It is to help you become someone who follows through.

Is Next Identity coaching for women over 40?

4

Primarily, yes.

I work with capable women 40+ who know they want more from themselves or their life but are not consistently taking action towards it.

You might want to change careers, start a business, complete a course, improve your health, build confidence, travel, create better habits or finally do something you have been putting off for years.

You do not need to have everything figured out before we start.

That is part of the work

Can coaching help with self-doubt and low confidence?

5

Yes.

Self-doubt and low confidence can make even simple actions feel much harder than they need to.

But I do not believe confidence always needs to come first.

Often, confidence is built through evidence.

You have a crack.

You do the uncomfortable thing.

You follow through.

You prove something to yourself.

And confidence grows from there

What is the difference between accountability coaching and life coaching?

6

Life coaching can be very broad.

Accountability coaching is more focused on helping you move from intention into action.

At Next Identity, I combine clarity, identity, alignment, action and accountability.

That means we do not just talk about what you want.

We look at why you are not currently doing it, what needs to change, and what you are actually going to do next.

Then I help keep you accountable to following through.

What does an accountability coach actually do?

7

An accountability coach helps you stay focused on the things you say matter to you.

That can mean helping you clarify the goal, identify what is getting in the way, decide what action needs to happen next and then checking that you actually did it.

With me, it is not about nagging you.

It is about asking the right questions, challenging the bullshit when needed, supporting you through the uncomfortable bits and helping you keep moving

Can coaching help with self-sabotage and old patterns?

8

Yes.

Self-sabotage often shows up as procrastination, avoidance, overthinking, starting and stopping, talking yourself out of things or repeatedly putting your own goals on the back burner.

We look at the beliefs and patterns that may be driving that behaviour.

Then we focus on changing the actions that keep reinforcing the same result.

Awareness matters.

But eventually, we have to ask:

“Okay. Now what are we going to do about it?”

What kinds of goals can I work on with an accountability coach?

9

Almost anything meaningful to you.

That might include:

  • changing careers

  • applying for a job

  • starting a business

  • finishing a course

  • improving your health and fitness

  • building confidence

  • developing better habits

  • travelling

  • completing a personal project

  • finally doing something you have been talking about for years

The goal itself can vary.

The common thread is that you want something, but you are not consistently following through

How does online accountability coaching work?

10

All Next Identity coaching is delivered online.

That means you can work with me from wherever you are.

We meet online for your coaching sessions, work through what is happening, agree on the actions you are going to take, and I provide support and accountability between sessions.

Next Identity is Australian-based, but I work with clients online globally.

How long is the Next Identity 1:1 coaching program?

11

The 1:1 Alignment & Accountability Coaching program runs for three months.

It includes eight coaching sessions.

The first part of the program is more frequent so we can build momentum, understand what is getting in the way and start creating change.

The later sessions move to fortnightly so you can practise sustaining the new behaviour with continued support and accountability.

Is Next Identity available for online coaching worldwide?

12

Yes.

Next Identity is based in Australia, but coaching is delivered online, so I can work with clients globally.

If our time zones line up and the coaching is the right fit, location does not need to be a barrier.

What if I already know what I need to do but still don’t do it?

13

Then you are exactly the kind of person I work with.

You might already know you should apply for the job, start the business, finish the course, go to the gym, make the phone call or finally deal with the thing you have been putting off.

The problem is not always lack of information.

Sometimes you need to understand why you keep avoiding it and what keeps getting in the way.

Then you need a clear next step and someone in your corner helping you actually follow through.

That is one of the core ideas behind Next Identity

Can coaching help me build confidence through action?

14

Yes.

This is a big part of the way I coach.

Rather than waiting until you magically feel confident enough to act, we focus on taking the action that creates evidence.

Every time you follow through, speak up, make a decision, try something new or do something you previously avoided, you create evidence that you are capable.

That evidence helps build confidence.

Action first.

Confidence often follows.

Am I having a midlife crisis, or do I just want more from life?

15

Not necessarily.

Sometimes what gets labelled a “midlife crisis” is simply a point where you start looking at your life differently.

You may have spent years focused on work, family, responsibilities and everyone else’s needs.

Then at some point you start thinking:

“What do I actually want now?”

“Why don’t I feel as confident or driven as I used to?”

“I know I’m capable of more, so why am I not doing anything about it?”

That does not automatically mean you are having a crisis.

It may simply mean you are ready for change, but you are not yet clear on what that change looks like — or you know exactly what you want, but procrastination, self-doubt, fear or old patterns are getting in the way.

That is where coaching can help.

Can coaching help women over 40 figure out what they want next?

16

Yes.

Sometimes the problem is not that you are procrastinating on one clear goal.

Sometimes you have spent so long focusing on everyone else that you are not even sure what you want anymore.

Coaching can help you get clear on what matters to you now, what you want this next stage of life to look like, and what actions would move you towards it.

You do not need to have the whole future mapped out.

You just need somewhere useful to start.

What if I keep starting things and never finishing them?

17

Then we look at why that keeps happening.

Starting and stopping can come from a lot of different places.

You might lose confidence.

You might overthink the next step.

You might get uncomfortable when things become harder.

You might chase something new because starting feels more exciting than finishing.

Or you might simply have no accountability keeping you connected to the original goal.

We work out what is happening for you, then create a better way forward.

Can accountability coaching help me change careers?

18

Yes.

Career change is a really common example of knowing what you want but not taking action.

You might spend months looking at jobs, updating your résumé, thinking about retraining or imagining what it would be like to leave your current role — but still not actually apply.

Coaching can help you work through the self-doubt, fear and overthinking that may be keeping you stuck, then turn the idea into practical next steps.

Can accountability coaching help me start a business?

19

Yes.

Starting a business can bring up a ridiculous amount of overthinking, fear and self-doubt.

You may know what you want to create, but keep researching, planning, tweaking and waiting until you feel more ready.

We work on what is actually stopping you and identify the actions that move the business forward.

Then I help keep you accountable to doing them.

How do I know if an accountability coach is right for me?

20

If there is something you genuinely want to achieve or change, you know you are capable of more, but you keep procrastinating, overthinking, second-guessing yourself or failing to follow through, accountability coaching may be a really good fit.

You need to be willing to take responsibility for your actions and have a crack.

I will support you, challenge you and help you understand what is getting in the way.

But I am not here to do it for you.

The goal is for you to build the confidence and self-trust to keep moving without needing someone beside you forever.

Is coaching the same as therapy or counselling?

21

No.

Next Identity provides coaching, not therapy, counselling or medical treatment.

We may talk about beliefs, behaviours, patterns, confidence and experiences that have influenced the way you approach things.

But the focus of coaching is on awareness, action, behaviour and moving forward.

If something comes up that sits outside the scope of coaching, I will encourage you to seek the appropriate professional support.

How do I get started with Next Identity coaching?

22

The first step is to book a Clarity Call.

We will talk about what you want, what is currently getting in the way and what you have already tried.

Then we can work out whether my 1:1 Alignment & Accountability Coaching is the right fit for you.

No dramatic sales pitch.

Just a proper conversation about where you are, where you want to go and whether I can genuinely help you get there.
